By purchasing your items, you agree you have read, and are happy with our terms and conditions.

Lead Times

⋒ Our lights are all handcrafted, so please allow 2-4 weeks for us to dispatch them. Our blankets will be dispatched within a week of purchasing.

⋒ All prices include VAT (where applicable). Customers are responsible for any other custom duties, tariffs, taxes or fees due with respect of your order. Please note that due to Brexit, fees are likely to be added to parcels leaving the UK. Parcels may be withheld at customs until payment is made, rates vary depending on country. Unfortunately this is out of our control and we ask each customer to look into their own countries regulations before purchasing.

⋒ All lights use a E27 bulb holder and are rated up to 250V 4A. We always recommend using LED bulbs.

⋒ Our plug & switch options have UK compatible plugs. Not compatible with European or other countries outside of the UK.

⋒ Our lights are certified and conform to UK and EU standards. If you are shipping to countries outside of this, you are responsible for the products testing, compliance and safety.

⋒ We do not currently offer US light fittings as an option, and are not UL certified. We are hoping to extend this in the future.

⋒ All of our lights are IP20 rated, which means they are not suitable for wet areas, or areas close to water. They need to be a certain distance away from any water source. Refer to a 'lighting zone diagram' when deciding where to locate your light fitting. Alternatively speak to your electrician for advice as wrong placement could be hazardous.

⋒ What The Mood will not accept liability for any fault arising from accident, product alteration or product misuse.

⋒ Please be cautious of where you position your lights and make sure the cables are not in areas that can be pulled or tampered with, e.g. a nursery or playroom.

⋒ Installation must be carried out by a qualified and licensed electrician. Please carefully read and follow the installation instructions included with your product. Please note that instructions will be supplied in English, with illustrations. It is the customers responsibility to install their lights according to local building regulations.

⋒ Returning costumers - Please be aware that due to the fact that all our lights are made in small batches, to reduce waste, that if you purchase the same coloured light again we cannot guarantee it will exactly match your original light.

⋒ We will make every effort to ensure that the product pictures are reflected as accurately as possible, however screen colours are often displayed differently on different phones/ computers.

⋒ We will try our absolute best to meet the dispatch deadlines, and normally always do. But we can not guarantee this, as some things may be out of our control. You will get a dispatch email as soon as your item is on it's way and you should be able to track your parcel’s progress online. Shipping lead times can vary, and once with the courier this is out of our control. No electricians or contractors to be booked to install any goods until the customer is in possession of their order.

⋒ We do accept cancellations, if made within 24 hours of purchasing your items, and if your item is not bespoke.

⋒ We offer returns on all items, except custom orders and our ‘Sample Sale’ items. If you wish to return anything please get in contact within 7 days of delivery, and return the item(s) within 14 days of delivery. Unfortunately we do not pay for the cost of return or any custom charges that may occur. The item(s) must be in un-installed, un-used and fully re-saleable condition. We will deduct the price of outgoing shipping from refund.

⋒ We have a flat rate for UK shipping. We also offer international shipping options to countries within the EU, please refer to individual items for these shipping prices.

⋒ Please be clear and make sure your delivery address is correct. We send all of our lights Tracked and Signed for. Once we have been notified of its delivery, we can not be responsible for its whereabouts.

⋒ All our products are checked and tested thoroughly prior to dispatch. But please check your items as soon as they reach you and let us know within 48 hours if there are any defects, and do not install. After 48 hours the goods will be deemed to have been accepted as undamaged by the customer. If broken on arrival, please get in touch within 2 days and photograph parts that are broken and we will pay for the return and arrange for a new item/ part to be sent out.

🍑 Please note that our lights are handcrafted, so each have their own little quirks and characteristics, making each one unique. All our lights are sanded on one side. If you are ordering a pendant light to be low hanging, please let us know and we can sand both visible sides. 🍑
